OORT Launches DataHub Launchpad to Address AI Training Data and Web3 Community Growth Challenges
OORT announced the global launch of its DataHub Launchpad platform on October 29, 2025. According to ZyCrypto, the company positions the service as a marketplace where AI developers and Web3 projects can create data collection campaigns while rewarding contributors with OORT tokens. The platform transitioned from early access in mid-September to full public availability this week.
The system operates through three campaign types. AI developers can request specific datasets like image collections or survey responses. Social media influencers can create tasks for followers to complete. Contributors browse available campaigns, submit data, and receive token compensation after other users verify submissions are authentic and not AI-generated. OORT founder and CEO Dr. Max Li stated the platform aims to democratize data collection by making participation accessible to global audiences.
Economic Demand Drives Platform Development
The AI training dataset market reached $2.92 billion in 2024 and projects to $17.04 billion by 2032, according to Fortune Business Insights. This growth stems from companies requiring diverse, high-quality data to train machine learning models. Traditional data collection methods often prove expensive and time-consuming for smaller AI teams.
OORT addresses this gap by distributing collection tasks across a global network. The company already demonstrated commercial viability in July 2025 when it listed its first curated image dataset on Google Cloud Analytics Hub, Databricks Marketplace, and Snowflake Marketplace. Enterprises can purchase full datasets or individual images priced between two and ten cents each. The blockchain-based tokenization system tracks each contribution, allowing OORT to compensate original contributors whenever their data generates revenue.
Platform Targets Dual Industry Pain Points
Web3 projects consistently struggle with community engagement and growth. Coinbound reported in April 2025 that successful communities now prioritize active contributors over total member counts. Many projects face challenges converting casual followers into engaged participants who contribute meaningfully to ecosystems.
DataHub Launchpad attempts to solve both AI data scarcity and Web3 engagement through economic incentives. Social media campaigns allow influencers to grow audiences by offering token rewards for specific actions like posting images or completing surveys. This approach differs from traditional follower growth strategies by providing measurable compensation for participation. The model creates trackable engagement data while building communities around shared economic interests rather than speculative token holdings alone.
However, the platform faces competition from established data collection services operated by major technology companies. Questions remain about data quality control at scale and whether token incentives can maintain contributor engagement long-term without speculative price appreciation.
